May Pastoral Letter
Two Principles We Need To Remember. I was meditating upon these scriptures this week, and wanted to share some of my insights from that passage. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus exhorts His followers, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." (Matthew 6:33-34, NKJV) These verses encapsulate two crucial principles for the Christian life:
As believers, we can find great comfort and assurance in these verses. When we make God's Kingdom and righteousness our highest pursuit, we can trust that He will care for us and provide for our needs. We need not be anxious about the future, for our Heavenly Father is sovereign over all our tomorrows. As we face the uncertainties and challenges of life, let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus and seek His Kingdom above all else. May we learn to live one day at a time, trusting in God's faithfulness and resting in His perfect peace.
