This passage was in my devotion for this morning. God's Word has power, and what we speak and proclaim as believer's has power. Or, it can have a negative effect for us as well, if we choose to use our words unwisely.
I wonder what percentage of positive words we release each day in comparison to our negative ones? A lot of time, what we think or speak is not positive whatsoever, or productive in any manner. We should choose positive or faith-filled words in our everyday conversations, giving God the opportunity to work wonders of grace throughout our day. Avoiding the pitfalls of negative words, actions, etc., etc.. 10 Just as the rain and the snow come down from the sky and don’t return there without watering the earth, making it conceive and yield plants and providing seed to the sower and food to the eater, 11 so is my word that comes from my mouth; it does not return to me empty. Instead, it does what I want, and accomplishes what I intend. Common English Bible (Nashville, TN: Common English Bible, 2011), Is 55:9–11. Pastor Vossen ministers to us from our Covenant & The Kingdom Series, as we are studying from section two. The title being, " Jesus Christ, God's Servant Among Us. "
Here is this past Sunday's live and recorded event at Covenant. Enjoy.
June 18th Live Gathering Services
5 PM on Saturday As usual, we'll gather at three places for our monthly gathering service, but we'll get a video message from Pastor Vossen that's live for all the groups. He has a special message he wishes to share with us, as we are experiencing a unique move of God in the Omaha area. He believes that this move of God will spread throughout the fellowship. Plan on attending. In Omaha, we will be meeting at St. Martin of Tours in Omaha, Nebraska. In North Platte at our regular facility, and in Lincoln, too. Talk to your Shepherd leaders about joining in and see if you can make it to the services. In His Grace, Reverend Patrick Vossen Founding Pastor, CGMF Our founding pastor's message to us was profound. It talks about how difficult it is to grasp time. Then, how we should embrace time and follow its purpose in our walk with Christ.
Here is our pastor's latest ministry of the Word to us in our local assembly. We trust you will be encouraged by the Word of God.
PASTOR VOSSEN WILL BE MINISTERING DURING HOLY WEEK 2023. ENJOY THE VARIOUS SERVICES DURING THE WEEK.3/29/2023 Church Family And Friends,
On Wednesday afternoon of Holy Week, I will be one of two ministers who will be preaching at King Solomon Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. I was asked to represent the Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where I am considered a minister on staff. Between my work at Covenant of Grace Ministry & Fellowship, where I am the pastor, and Greater New Hope, I do keep myself quite busy. I used to be asked to preach at St. Martin Episcopal Church a lot, and I was on their Vestry Committee for years. However, I have found it difficult this past year due to my schedule. My South Omaha Shepherd Group at Covenant does have meetings on Sunday afternoons at St. Mart's. Nevertheless, I am unable to attend St. Martin's services very often of late. I love all three of these labors of love in Christ, and they have come to mean a lot to me through the years. CGMF has an inter-denominational vision that includes ministering at various churches. Where our Shepherd Leaders and ministers find themselves blessing many works. Our goal is to reach as many ministries as possible so that we can bring the Jesus Method of Mentoring Disciples to life in the modern day church. In His Grace, Dr. Patrick Vossen, Founding Pastor Covenant of Grace Ministry & Fellowship, Inc. Pastor continues to minister to us from the Covenant & The Kingdom series. Here is the audio recording of his last week's message to the fellowship.
