The men for the most part handled all the singing and worship this past Sunday. If was truly a holy ghost inspired event. They sang one of my favorite songs, " Hold On Change Is Coming. " I got a little of it while at the pulpit, it was wonderful. LOL. Enjoy. Here is Reverend Vossen's latest lesson from our Covenant & The Kingdom series. It's lesson 18 on The United Kingdom.
The live session from South Omaha had a special anointing upon it indeed this past week. We appreciate our pastor sharing live with us their Shepherd Group meeting. It is a privilege that our many Shepherd Groups can hook up live via Google Meet and get a Word from our shepherd every Sunday Afternoon. Grace and blessings to all. If any need a syllabus of the lesson series to follow along, please contact the office at 646-926-0401 outside Nebraska, or call 402-305-5345. You may also email us at [email protected] Here is our recording of the live Google Meet Session this past Sunday.
We were amazed at how many groups and or individuals connected to the broadcast, as some groups were unable to meet due to the weather in a variety of places. Pastor finished Lesson 17 on the Judges, but he made a mistake in mentioning it would be Lesson 19 he would transition. Instead, it appears to be Lesson 18 on The United Kingdom, then finally Lesson 19 on The Divided Kingdom. The next two lessons will be about the Kings and their good and bad deeds before we go to the Prophets. The Covenant & Kingdom is a great biblical series that shows God's Covenant with us. I hope you will enjoy the word. We normally hold live meetings with Pastor Vossen every Sunday at 3pm until late spring, when our schedule will change again. Recorded Live from Reverend Vossen's Shepherd Group meeting at St. Martin of Tours Episcopal Church in South Omaha.
We completed editing the last two Shepherd Group sessions by Pastor Vossen. The first lesson talks about the people of God left in the wilderness and the second recording the people of God entering into the Promised Land. Our prayer is that you will be encouraged and receive God's wisdom for your life from His Word. Have a wonderful week in the Lord. Video Links: Lesson 15-God's People In The Wilderness. Lesson 16-God's People Go Into The Land. 11 Your savior is born today in David’s city. He is Christ the Lord. 12 This is a sign for you: you will find a newborn baby wrapped snugly and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great assembly of the heavenly forces was with the angel praising God. They said, 14 “Glory to God in heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors.”
Common English Bible (Nashville, TN: Common English Bible, 2011), Lk 2:10–14. The angel of the Lord spoke to shepherds guarding their sheep. Wow! what a wonderful picture. Hope had arrived, and good news had come, and heaven was making a major announcement. The Saviour was born in this very city, and it will all be different now. He is going to proclaim glad tidings of joy and a message of grace that would shake the very foundations of civilization itself. Christmas is, in fact, a time of expectation for everyone on earth. For when you receive the Lord, and allow the Christmas story to become your story. Jesus begins to write on the canvas of your life. The old ways become unimportant as God gives you a new mind, spirit, and a song to sing. It's time to rejoice, Christmas has come, with the birth of the Son of God, our Savior, and Lord. Please let Him be the reason you love the season. The gifts we shop for and share are nothing compared to the wonderful Saviour who has given us hope in a seemingly hopeless world. Make Him Lord of your life this season, and you will see your eyes open and your heart alive, as Jesus reveals to you real joy and life. Merry Christmas everyone. In His Name, Reverend Patrick Vossen Founding Pastor, Covenant of Grace Ministry & Fellowship We think we got the video and audio fixed from this past weekend's service in South Omaha. The message pastor teaches on is on " Biblical Forgiveness. "
