I wasn't there to hear it, but I was blest by it. Here is a wonderful message by Vicar Roberts.

Great Fellowship And Hope And Refuge
December 22nd, 2014 We had some great fun with our friends at Hope and Refuge in Omaha this past week. Pastor Bryant and his church family couldn't have been more friendly. The worship was truly exhilarating and Pastor Bryant preached an awesome Christmas message on, " The Gift That Keeps On Giving. " Where he truly challenged us to picture the Cross instead of the traditional Christmas tree this holiday season. Then remember that Jesus is the Gift that keeps on giving, as God continues to give His free gift of salvation through faith in His precious name. The word was dramatic and effective, and we all were touched by the wonderful outpouring of God's Spirit at the altar. Hearts were touched in an extraordinary way. It was a day to rejoice! I for one was truly thankful that we could be a part of such a wonderful day of fellowship with friends in Christ. Thank you Pastor Bryant and Hope and Refuge for making us feel so at home. ![]() Psalms 26:7 KJV 7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. I am so thankful for what God has done this past year. It has not always been easy, and many in our church family have gone through struggles in life. Nevertheless, God's steadfast love has come through time and time again, with His Holy Spirit always interceding when we have needed Him the most. Some have faced acute challenges, some have lost loved ones, others personal battles both spiritually and physically. Yet, God's love has always found a way. Healing wounds, touching hearts and saving lives. We also has seen more people come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and baptizer in His Spirit in 2014, than in any year of this ministry. I personally am so proud of the development of some wonderful new Shepherd Leaders, who have helped enable me personally to take on new challenges outside of CGMF. Giving ourselves a chance to be a blessing to so many more people in Christ's Kingdom and in the world at large. I find myself watching and praying, with so many of you taking up the mantle of Christ. I truly feel I could just move on, and the ministry would go on without a hitch, with God's anointing and power continuing to be out-poured. I am not saying I am going to do that. LOL Yet, I could. Our fellowship with Full Gospel Restoration continues to move forward, and I hope our participation and our support will be a blessing. With God's work being done in a special way. I also pray that some of you might come and encourage the work at St. Martin of Tours. Which I have been a part of and have served. Helping this small parish move and grow, with God's best yet to come. Vicar Kim is doing a wonderful job as its mentor and she needs our prayers. They have been so supportive of your pastor, and the intimacy of the parish has helped me so very much. I have needed its shelter from the responsibility of CGMF at times, and it is a " my time " place for me to just personally unveil before the Lord away from my responsibilities here at CGMF. Giving me balance and strength I have never had before in such a special way. To everyone at CGMF, friends and brethren. Have yourselves a great Thanksgiving weekend. We here at CGMF, and myself truly are appreciative of your love and prayers. God bless you all in Jesus precious and Holy Name. In His Mercy, Reverend Patrick Vossen Founding Pastor, CGMF Thanks for allowing me to get away to Illinois last weekend. Adam and I ( his father missed him a lot, its boring without him around. LOL ), had a wonderful time together, as we enjoyed the Founder's Day Weekend festivities at the home church at Christ Community Church in Ottawa. Sr. Pastor John Nordstrom Jr. and the whole staff were just so gracious to all in attendance. I was able to promote to a couple of local pastors, and others from out of town. Our work at Focus Bible College, and the blessing it could be to many of them in their local churches. We discussed a variety of ways we could work with them to establish satellite campuses. Or, to help train their local ministers in their churches. I am excited about the seeds sown for the Kingdom of God there. A few of the pastors were more interested in how we built the ministry on the local church level through the Shepherd Leader-Home Fellowship concept. I invited of couple of them to come to Omaha and see how we organize things between here. Maybe we can be a blessing to some of our brothers and sisters far, far away. Now for the Quarterly changes. We will be starting in the Thru The Bible home groups the books of Ezra, Nehemiah and Esther. I also will be continuing along with Skip on our new yearly bible plan. Which is very much so likened unto the liturgical year cycle in the Episcopal Church. Its been a fun experience teaching it in this fashion. Yet, I know I deviate from the norm quite a bit. Hey, you have to go where the Spirit is leading, Amen! We also are going to add a portion of another series to our Authentic Man and Authentic Woman studies. Using some new material to address some areas of interest we think need to be explored. We have used one curriculem from Charles Simpson and the other from Sister Brenda that was developed. It has been a powerful series for both the teens and adults. We have seen wives and husbands really communicating a good word on it. I also will be using in January some of the DISC Personality Profiles on biblical themes that might intrigue you. I use the system in some of my counseling, and think we can adapt it for more intimate understanding of partners, as well one another. Well, be in prayer as we move forward. Your pastor takes over as President of Focus Bible College come January 1st. Pray for me as I will have a bit of a learning curve taking over for Bishop Tice who has been handling the school since 1986. Your patience with me not being available as much as I have, is also appreciated. Remember it doesn't mean Reverend Vossen doesn't love you. LOL. Take care, have a great weekend in the Lord's presence. Blessings CGMF Family, Today's message preached at St. Martins and our founder's Neighborhood Fellowship Group today. Today's audio message from our Senior Bible Teacher and Founder. Continues on the series he began in January on " The Sevenfold Aspects Of The Blood Of Jesus ". He is now on the final element or aspect, and teaches us an important lesson about not giving up ground to our adversary of our soul. Take time to listen to this timely message on " Understanding The Battleground ".
I heard a rather unique and anointed Word by Vicar Kim Roberts at St. Martin of Tours in Omaha the past week or so. It so touched my spirit that I wanted to pass it along to you here at CGMF. It is posted both at St. Martin's Website and here at CGMF's. It is a good Word to remember and put to heart. It's great to see my home church back in Ottawa now embracing small groups in such a strong way. I know that is how we have started out, and have never left here at CGMF. Our Neighborhood Fellowships, and Shepherd Leaders development concept has been biblical as was the original twelve. In addition, with the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit we are seeing God's grace and visitation in our Monthly Gathering meetings in a significant fashion.
Here is the kick off message by Pastor John Nordstrom, and his teaching Christ Community about " Small Groups ". You will enjoy it. " Why Small Groups ? ", Sept. 7th, 2014 Here is the outline for one of the messages Reverend Vossen will be ministering this weekend. Hope to see you all out for you Neighborhood Fellowship Groups this weekend. We've kicked off the new Quarter with some wonderful new studies, as well tried and true. |
